One more day

I have one more typhoid pill left and then I am all done with my vaccinations! I have experienced mood swings, nausea, and a little bit of a fever, but now I feel better and more donations keep coming in! We have the plane tickets and were almost ready to go just a few more things on the shopping list.

To make a donation...

Hi, my name is Tanner Roggenkamp and I am currently a senior at La Center High School in La Center, WA. Since the start of my freshman year I have been interested in volunteering in Africa. I play basketball, golf, and love to be outdoors. Over these last few months I have had the privilege of training a medical alert dog (Oddie) for myself. Being a type 1 diabetic is tough, but overall I live a normal life.
Many people ask me why I would want to spend my senior trip volunteering. Ghana is in need of many things, and I feel I can make a positive difference by helping these children. I also believe this is a unique opportunity to learn some important things about life.
Although I am working, I am also fund raising to to help pay for this trip. Your support through donations is greatly appreciated. My goal is to raise $1000.00 by April 30th, 2009. This will cover my expenses for transportation, food, housing and incidentals. If you are able to contribute any amount of money no matter how small I am grateful for all the donations given. We are the change and with your help anything can happen.
Tax ID # 26-0594308.

Thank you,

Tanner
